Vol. 9, Issue 1, Fall 2008

Welcome to Dialogue!

Dear Readers,

I love fall. School starts. And with it always come new beginnings and renewed acquaintances with colleagues and students.

This is how I feel about the return of our e-newsletter, Dialogue, as well.  It is an honor to be part of a publication that was initiated nine years ago to bring NYS TESOL professionals together to share and talk about ideas and concerns.

In this issue, we are delighted to introduce you to our featured columnists:

Webbing In with Debbie Coutavas
Learn how she uses MakeBeliefsComix.com to teach the four skills

Ask the Grammar Maven - Ann Ediger
Find out how she will answer your questions and explore the role of grammar in today’s classroom

Pronunciation Corner with Joyce Mandell
Take her unique approach to teaching “R” and “L” to your students

You will also meet our guest contributors. Stephanie Hanson teaches ESL on a cruise ship in On the Job, Lauren Tynan tackles the problem of teaching mixed levels in TESOLutions, and Amy Chan shares her fun ice-breaker in Ready-to-Go Lesson Plan.

Welcome back!
